...going through some stuff, and I've sorted out about 3000 insert cards; the majority from the mid 90s to early 2000s. Most are your typical UD/Fleer/Topps 4-5 per box insert card, some are one per boxes like topps stadium club first day editions, some are refractors/xfractors, and some -- just a few -- are parallels like Score Gold and Fleer Platinum (no Bowman Gold). None are serial #ed.

I recently sold a much smaller lot of 183 numbered inserts... got a decent amount for it.

In your opinion, what should I break this lot into for maximum profit? 250? 500? 1000? Or sell all 3000 at once?

If you sold 183 for a good chunk, I'd break 'em down into lots of 200-250. You'll make more money that way than if you sold all as one lot.

I would definitely break it down. The price for shipping 3000 cards would probably scare some away. I would try a 500 and see how that goes.

I'm guessing the few cards I was looking at was included in that lot. :^(

I would be interested in any Pacific inserts.

And I would say unless they are some of the rarer inserts, I would be happy with 4-7 cents each in a lot.

Just my 2 cents.

I wasn't -- I'm not -- trying to sell them here... maybe if I make a post on the FS board, but my true intention was to figure out if I should sell them in 1000 ct lots or 250 or somewhere inbetween. Not much pacific; I gave away most of the 50-400 ct star player lots to people on this board a year and a half ago, and got flack from people because I asked for one penny so I could print out address labels from paypal, so I suspect Canseco is gone. There are star players - HOFers in the lots... I guess I'll aim at 500 ct lots and see what happens. If I could get 4-7c per, I'd be content.

I was thinking of the same thing as I have about 2 to 5,000 inserts for all sports that I wanted to break up into groups...I was thinking about 100 card insert lots to keep the shipping costs down. Then taking some of the major stars and doing individual lots with them (20 to 50 card avg lot size). I havent done large lots before so how would you word your auction? Group photos with individual listings of all the cards in the lot?
