I think some, perhaps many, would see it as self promoting and potential padding of a product for public view.

I think that those who like the manufacturer running said break will like the idea, those who hate him will hate the idea.

How would customers feel about a manufacturer run box break prior to release that would ship to arrive on release date? Just kicking things around.. BG

In theory it sounds good but the manufacturer would be setting himself up for criticism. Think about it... If its a crappy break, that said buyer would be directly pissed at the manufacturer who did the break... If its a monster box, then others could think its a set-up.

Personally it's probably better the manufacturer just removed himself from the situation.

No win situation. If the case is great they will say that you staged it. If the case is awful they will say the product blows. Just my opinion.

I think a company doing a break like that would be bad. Remember when an employee bought cases of Leaf Metal fb on release day and there were some ruffled feathers and cospiracie theories since he had some big hits?
