HUGE thank you to Moxacaine!

First, sorry I don't have a scanner just yet. Looking to pick one up for Xmas.


I want to say thank you to Moxacaine. Super generous gift that wasn't expected. Absolutely made my month! Checked the mail today to find a bubble mailer waiting for me. That's in itself made my day. To say my jaw hit the ground when I opened it is an understatement! Inside, along with a handful of nice inserts I need for my collection (and would have been enough to make me happy ) was a 1987 Topps Rafael Palmeiro RC! I had no intention of picking up Raffy's rc's just yet, but this one started my collection of in the right direction.


What so special about an 87 Topps Palmeiro rc? Not much, other than this one just happens to be graded BGS 9.5 w/ sub grades of 9.5, 9.5, 9.5 and 9!! :shock: If I'm not mistaken that's .5 from a Pristine 10!! Even if I am mistaken I still can't believe it! A super Gem Mint copy of the guy I collect. I am seriously loving this card.

You need to have at least two or three 10's to get a pristine 10 NYC.

Yea, I wasn't sure. I'm not big on grading and just getting back into cards after so long away. I still love it. I would have been good with a PSA 8 lol So this is a big step up. Man, the memories of how many cases of 87 Topps I opened up back in the day. I hoarded all my Cory Snyder's lol :lol:

Ken's a goober. When I stayed with him, he actually had a full roll of TP in the bathroom and insisted I sleep in their lavishly decorated spare bedroom rather than the storage room or in the basement on the floor. Geez......what a clown.
