Hughes ducking Koscheck?

Hughes posted something on his blog saying he has no interest in fighting him because he is still a "kid".

He wonders why Koscheck wants to fight him (After Kos beat Trigg, he said he wanted Matt) when Hughes doesnt have the title or is in the title picture.

Matt is my 2nd favorite fighter, but, this seems like he is ducking Kos.

Maybe he wants to fight you because he liked you growing up and wants to fight one of his favorite fighters, Matt. Sometimes fights arent always about the title...

Or more reasonable, you dont want your head bashed in like Trigg...

i think Hughes, even though he's aging and not like he used to be, would still beat Kos. Kos is just someone i've never been impressed with. He beat Diego but all of his other fights against top opponents, he's lost. Trigg at this point is like fighting Cro Cop. He's done. Hughes has lost 3 of his last 4 but those fights were against GSP and Alves. I don't know if he's ducking or not but i don't see why he would.

Maybe this contract he signed is just to keep him from fighting elsewhere? I know Serra is pushing hard for a rematch since many people (myself included) thought he won or at least drawed? (not sure how to word it) the first fight. Maybe Hughes wants another fight? I wouldn't say it's ducking at this point in time.

i dont understand why hughes would question why kos wants to fight him? as a professional fighter, hughes should want to shut this kids mouth up for calling him out

to me, it looks like hughes is scared of kos

Seriously?? I think Matt would very easily handle Kos with ease. I'd love just the opposite, I'd love to see Matt get some credit back and beat the KID into a pulp.

I think Koscheck would beat Hughes, and as much as I like Kos and dislike Hughes, him calling Hughes out makes no sense IMO.

Koscheck is ranked probably 4th in the UFC WW behind Alves, Fitch, and GSP.

You would think he would be more focused on getting a title shot than beating a fading former champion.
Instead of calling out Alves for a rematch, which he should have done, he called out Hughes because I think he feels Hughes is the "safe" pick. The problem is that Alves already mandhandled him, so beating Hughes doesnt really move him into the title picture.

In all fairness, that division sucks now because GSP has ***** and will continue to rape everyone!
