panini packs!!!!

I realize redemptions have their place to some extent, but they don't even seem to be trying anymore. I have so many in que that it is ridiculous. What got me was asking for a replacement for a HICKS 09 redemption in feb and still no response. That type of CS did UD IN AMONG OTHER THINGS.

I am waiting myself on a 2009 Contenders Hakeem Nicks Auto. I figure it would take 4-6 weeks to get replaced so might as well wait to get actual card.

4-6 weeks for a replacement may be hopeful. I was told getting value for a card to be replaced takes up to a month.

I will definitely agree that I have been suprised at how thier CS has fallen by the wayside. Not only in returning messages, and getting replacements, and in sending out information updates. I still like them the best, more than Topps and UD, and have faith that they will fulfill all outstanding redemptions even though it may take awhile.

twitter and facebook are the places to be boys, it is where panini is doing most of their marketing AND is where
many collectors see what is going on with their products NAMELY what they are not doing right. If you want
answers post a twitter to Hackler or post on facebook. I posted something about panini redemptions being
ignored and sure enough there was news on them today on their twitter board and facebook page!

Since Panini has had the exclusive rights to NBA basketball products, their offerings have been mediocre at best. I bought cases of their first two products that failed to live up to the stated promises of what the sell sheets provided. I have been dealiing with customer service for over a 1-1/2 years and they still refuse to live up to their promises.

First it was stated content, next was the redemptions from product they replaced. As I have stated before, I am waiting for a NT Rodrigue Beaubois rc auto patch card besides EEE redemptions.

Rodrigue Beaubois plays for the Dallas Mavericks, and Panini's corporate headquarters in the US is located in Dallas. How frickin' difficult is it to have a Panini representative stop by his home to sign his outstanding cards on the rep's way to work? ::facepalm::

I will continue to boycott every Panini product until customer service addresses the issues I have had with them. It's their loss, not mine. I'm sure that other manufacturers of sportscards continue to appreciate this. It may be a blessing in disguise because of my renewed interest in my passion for major league baseball. It least Topps is fullfilling their obigations towards redemptions and missed content at bit better than Panini.

Good News! I just found out that Panini has a signing session scheduled with Hicks next week! This is if
Hakeem shows up, which apparently isn't a given.

Two things:

As it relates to Twitter and facebook, they use the internet for redemption logging and should have someone answering their messages. I don't have twitter and no longer use facebook so their CS should answer their messages or stop using redemptions.

As it relates to Hicks and his signing, if he shows up and signs there is a good chance that instead of Panini honoring old redemptions they will hold the stickers for upcoming products.

I have a 09 UD Ultimate Collection Yount/Braun dual auto that has been sitting for 14 months now. I requested a replacement in January and UD finally sent me an email about it today. Their question was, "Can you resend all of your information to us we can't find it".

Yep UD still sucks the worse.

I agree they should have CS standing by but you and I have been in the hobby long enough to know that just isn't how it works. It the card companies didn't have to talk to one customer they would be fine with that. Topps has NEVER given out an email address to send compalints, they still hid behind some guy named Mike who tells you to send your stuff to topps via snail mail or give it to your card shop and they will send it in. I was simply telling you that a message on twitter or FB
is the way to get noticed. I'm sure on any day you might be complaint #56 with Panini. A quick twitter post gets a response even if it wasn't the answer you wanted.

As far as Hicks, I can't see Panini hording his stickers, its not like the guy is a a star, they would much more likely want
to get these cards out, rather than have to replace them with someone more popular.

What really pisses me off is when you know a player has signed (Alex Wimmers), yet you still have a redemption in the queue.

I was really hoping I would get my Toews/Trottier dual patch auto /5 by the time playoffs started but that didn't happen. Maybe next year... ::facepalm::

After complaining about the 14 month wait on a redemption and now a 4 month wait on a replacement I receive this email from Upper Deck.

Dear Valued Customer,
