My all-time greatest moment at a ballgame was... Cubs vs. White Sox in 2007 (I think?)... we sat in bleachers. Got in early to catch BP. Darin Erstad (one of my PC guys and favorite players) was in the cage. He hit one out by us... I backhanded it while reaching across the row... saved this guy... If I hadn't caught it, he'd have gotten blasted in the side of the head. He said "awesome catch, want a beer?" :lol:

My heart raced for about 10 minutes :lol:

I was at a game where one fell a couple rows in front of me. I could have had it, but for some reason I just didn't care :lol:

We were at a USA 18u practice tourney, and one kid on the TC team hit a foul right at us. My dad and I both reached for it and it bounced off the guard rail in front of us.

I still never caught one. Once when I got up to go to the concession stand, one came and landed in my empty seat.

I got one at a minor league game back in the day...Princeton Reds I believe. I don't remember who hit it but I ended up getting it signed by Ferguson Jenkins who was with the team that day? Scout maybe??

I never caught one, but after a game at the Metrodome, the ballpark security went behind the fence in the outfield and fished out an Alfonso Soriano home run ball from the game for me. He hit 2 that game. Think I gave it to my buddy because it was the damn yankees

A friend of mine wanted me to throw one of his shoes over the wall so he could fish out the balls that were behind the fence. Security told him if your shoe goes over the wall, tough nuts.

Toledo Mud Hens game, 1980ish. Went with my team. High pop up I tried to catch, popped me in the eye for the biggest black eye ever. Went to hospital for stitches. Next day a teammate gave me the ball with a few player signatures.
