None of those fools wanted to fight. The coaches and Umps didn't have to work very hard to get them back to their respective sides.

Not sure if they called interference or not, but if they didn't one of the runners is out because the second runner touched home before the first runner. Basically over running the first runner.

Techincally, if the runner that was plowed over was awarded homeplate because of baseline interference, then the second runner scored as well, unless timeout was called before the second runner touched homeplate. The second runner probably had to go back to third.

That pitcher probably was ejected from the game.

Isn't the play ruled dead after interference?

No the play is still live as the ball got away from the catcher so if there was anyone else on base other then the runner running home they could have still been running. But in that case the runner was awarded home and the player stayed in the game.

And the team the guy was pitching for they came back from behind and won the game too.

Not necessarily. After the tackle, the umpire puts his arms up in a sort-of "safe" motion, then he gets into sending the pitcher off the field, but who knows what was actually going on there. The common-sense side that says, among other possibilities, that the runner at the plate should be safe and the other runners should move up one on the passed ball. Then there's the technical rules side, which I think might say otherwise, since you have to actually make a call to stop play, and it's not clear that he did.

Watch the video, at 00:40, the umpire throws both hands up, which 99% of the time means the play is dead. He doesnt raise them to the moon, but they do go up, so Im guessing the runner stealing home/tackled was awarded home. The runner on second base rounded third and was already advancing to home prior to the collision, so he would have been sent back to third, he did reach safely but not until after the umpire called the play dead. The runner running from first, through second and on his way to third should be back to second. The pitcher looks to be ejected.

My Mustang league (14+) made me a left-handed catcher... I was standing on home plate watching a ball get chased down in the outfield when the runner rounded third and came home... I must have flown 10 feet and learned a valuable lesson, lol... that must have been a runners dream to be able to do that.

Any chance there was some beef between the pitcher and runner and he somehow throws the wild pitch intentionally? The minute that balls gets away he's making a beeline at the runner, no doubt about it. Banged his girlfriend?

One could only speculate.... Maybe the runner stole his way to third from first and pitchers hate that. Maybe he didnt want that runner to get the 3 stolen bases in the same inning off him?

It was just so clear he was going after the guy that it made me wonder. His first step off the mound was at a diagonal, not straight toward home.
