Actually I don't mind newer redemption cards, but expired redemption cards from the mid-90's are killing me. I finally got a great pull, maybe the best pull I've ever had, too bad the redemption expired in 1995.

1994 Signature Rookies Nolan Ryan Redemption Card, signed by both the CEO and President of the company, card to be numbered out of a 1,000.

Re: I HATE redemption cards

I'm sure you can probably sell that redemption to a Ryan collector and get some nice money for it.

I was thinking of listing it anyway on e-bay, but the idea that I could have had a Nolan Ryan auto in my collection, that I pulled would have been sweet.

You could always keep the redemption card and then buy a Nolan from that set and have the auto and redemption as a set.

An even better question is "What and the heck where you doing buying and cracking signature rookies"?

What were you hoping to pull? What did those boxes cost? Were all the cards stuck together?

Surprisingly the cards weren't stuck together.

I started putting an auto set together around 1997, mainly Giants minor league guys, and forgot about it, so I bought a couple of boxes recently for $15 each, less than blasters at Target, and figured I'd give them a try. 18 packs, 18 autos, guys like Varitek, Jeter, Garciaparra among others in the set so I figured it couldn't hurt. I had no idea there were Nolan Ryan redemptions in the set. I also busted a coulpe of 1995 Signature Rookies, pulled a Manny Ramirez auto and a 1995 Tetrad box with a mix of football and basketball and baseball autos in it. Cheap way to add to auto collections and all for less than blaster boxes of base cards.
