The blowout deal is the way to go. Id trade those for a box of elite any day.
You never know, you could hit a great auto.

The only problem with the blowout deal is you have to have at least 100 cards. So if he only has 90 or so that fall in to their "wants", he couldn't do it.

I'm not sure, but they probably put large team lots together and put them in their eBay store. Or they have a Beckett store and list them at 50% of book.

Does Blowout pay for shipping? 100 game-used cards would cost about $8.00+ & then if they expect card holders & such that would deduct another couple of bucks (almost sounds like you'd end up getting $.79-$.88 per).... I'd take them to collector revolution & list them for free (then come back here on the transaction board & advertise/spam, as long as you have some sort of s/h discount in place & are asking reasonable prices, what you make is what you make...well minus the Paypal fees... Let em' run for the 30 days free & whatever you have left after 30 days you can throw them together in a lot & Ebay em')! I've got about 300-400 of this kinda stuff that I'm staring at as I type (I've been debating, as you have, as to what I'd like to do with them to maximize my return...by replying to your question I think I just answered mine)! Thanks for...er...uh...(pats self on the back  ).

I have the same problem. I'm listing them all on eBay. .15 to list, and if I get one bid at .99, that's still $3.84 a card. Fees are there still, but I pay for those with other income.

I was surprised the last time I did this, as I got $6.80 for undoubtedly the worst autograph in my collection.

But, if you find a good method of selling refractors/"RC's", let me know.

Yeah, I don't look it it the same way as you on this idea....If you get $.99 + s/h you're basically in the "red" or close to it when it's said & done (as even if you pay for your fees with other income, "you" are still paying for it). What happens when you list all the $.99er's & someone comes along & takes advantage of your s&h discount & bids on 50 of them (they all end at $.99 each & the buyer only has to pay the initial $3.00 s/h & asks you to combine shipping or discount it)?

I understand where you're coming from, as I've done that myself to a degree actually. I only have about 10 "auction" style auctions up currently, so even if someone does bid on all, I'm not completely losing out. In fact, these cards are just sitting here, so I really don't mind if they're gone at all just as long as I get some money.

I sometimes in the late spring and summer set up and a flea market and unload stuff. I put out GU, Auto's and also base player lots and I do real well. Sunday is the better day and last year I made over $200 on my best day and $90 on my worst day. My friend and myself split the cost of $25 to set up. People also sell their stuff and trade. A good way to unload what you don't want, pick up some good buys, and make some deals with the other card vendors for stuff you need or they need.

List them all on ebay but add like 3-4 high end cards to the lot. It will sell a lot better if you do it this way.

This is the way to go. Based on the "quality" of the stuff you listed, the most you can realistically expect is around $1.00 per card or less if you sell "as is."

But, if you throw in a couple of good ones you can probably double it or more.

These ended for around $1.00 per and are probably similar "quality" as the cards you listed:

[ebay:yzwgvywi]110334856714[/ebay:yzwgvywi]

[ebay:yzwgvywi]300284282451[/ebay:yzwgvywi]

Compare the average to these lots that included higher end cards:

[ebay:yzwgvywi]220332644961[/ebay:yzwgvywi] got basically $2.25 per by adding the 40 -50 higher end cards to the lot.

[ebay:yzwgvywi]110332413309 [/ebay:yzwgvywi] around $2.20 each, and an example of listing each card out.

[ebay:yzwgvywi]400020631376[/ebay:yzwgvywi] $4.00 per card.

[ebay:yzwgvywi]220336823468[/ebay:yzwgvywi] $6.67 per card by adding some really nice ones.

I was watching all of these auctions, and have been studying the "lot" market for quite a while. If you are going the e-bay route, to maximize revenue and minimize your time, the best way to sell is to add 3-4 high end cards, and let it ride.

Maybe they are the company that provides the "grab bags" that you see at Target all the time. You know the ones that have 1 GU or Auto and a couple of packs for $9.99. The packaging says Fairfield Card company or something like that - maybe it's a subsidiary of blowout?

If you have a lot of local shows, you could probably easily offload them. At my local shows, there are plenty of dealers that will buy low end GU & autos for $1.00 each, maybe even $1.25 or $1.50. That way, you don't have any e-bay or paypal fees.
