I just got to interview a (future) Seattle Mariner.

So, I have been doing prospect reports on the Seattle Mariners farm system all year over on Reddit and was recently offered a position on a small Seattle sports centric website. I usually do updates every two weeks and did one a few days ago, but with nothing better to do I figured I would reach out to a prospect and see if they would be interested in doing a small interview. A few back-and-forth on twitter and I'm E-mailing Seattle Mariners Venezuelan league standout Gianfranco Waowe. He was really gracious and seemed generally enthusiastic and as far as I'm aware this is the first interview he has ever given. Even if it is short, and written by someone who never went to journalism school and was actually trying to make it as a novelist, I think it went rather well. I will be sure to post it here once I get it finished, kind of just wanted to tell someone. Anyways, carry on.

Congrats! If I could make a suggestion, I'd say ask more open-ended questions. Rather than, "who is your favorite player?" ask "who is your favorite player and why?" You can often get a much more detailed response that way.

I actually sent a lot more questions than were answered, but I agree with you it would've been nice to have some more thorough responses.
