Wilson Ramos has a chance to make the Twins' Opening Day roster.
Such a chance would be dependent on Jose Morales' recovery from the wrist surgery he had on Thursday. If Morales isn't ready to go, which is a distinct possibility, manager Ron Gardenhire expressed interest in Ramos serving as Joe Mauer's understudy. The 22-year-old completed Double-A this past season, hitting .317/.341/.454 and was ranked the team's second-best prospect by Baseball America.
