I have been pickin up this guy ever since the 08 stuff with him dropped.

I watched him some in college and just thought he was fantastic, even though he played in a weak ncaa division.

He got to play against the Giants and the Skins, and did fairly well.

It's gonna be fun to see if he can become what I think he can be.

Read up on him last year. He had managed to learn Gruden's entire system (before they were let go) and could run it in practice very effectively. The staff appeared impressed with him.

However, I think unless he pulls off a Drew Brees-Philip Rivers type of stalemate on the Bucs, he will likely be pushed out for Raheem's hand-picked guy, Josh Freeman.

His intelligence and accuracy could allow him to start in most places.

I agree, I think he is going to be solid the remainder of the season....can't believe how cheap his stuff is actually......name me a starting QB whose chrome rookie auto goes for $4.

I was high on him too coming up. His numbers were so absurd his Senior year that it almost made the competition a moot point.

I mean 68% 42 TD 1 INT!!!!!!
Honestly you can be in 7 on 7 drills, it can be a controlled scrimmage vs. second teamer's and you may not complete 68% and only throw one pick.

I don't know if he'll "make it" , but I'm glad to see that he got a chance.

Kyle Boller?

I would expect Johnson to cement himself as the Bucs QB of the future by the end of the season.

I'm not sure the Rams count as this point. And Seneca Wallace and Derek Anderson are pretty cheap I'm sure.

those guys have all had their initial upside busted

that hasn't happened to Johnson..... yet...

hope it doesn't

he is like Michael Vick with better decision making skills in my opinion. I bought his blue chrome auto for less than 20 the other day, I think he just needs one big win and his stuff will double.....he managed the game very well last week actually.....at 0-4 he might be allowed now to throw down field trying to make some plays. I think if the Skins were up 24-0 in the game he would have put up big #s in coming back rather than micromanaging the offense.

To be honest, I just threw an auto of his away before he was named the starter. Oh well.

what? no. Did you watch the game? That was maybe the 2nd time the bucs got inside the 20. You don't take
the points when you know you O isn't going to get there again. Rah has no confidence in this kid and chickened
out. This guy sucks period, I know bucs football.

Thanks
Kevin

I mean seriously, the guy has 6 quarters of NFL experience. How much SHOULD you trust ANYONE with that kind of experience?
