Hmm. I think it looks pretty good. It looks like a Vizquel autograph where he actually took the time to sign it. Definitely worth a $1.50. The big Vizquel collector should be able to say for sure.

It does look pretty good. Omar's sig can vary, even the loops sometimes broken. The things that look weird to me are:

1) The squiggle finish looks like nothing I've ever seen him do. It's usually in line with the sig, not dropping downward.
2) The loop on the far left part of the "O" is not usually crossed that dramatically.
3) The lower loop of his "L" usually has a smoother, continuous curve than that. This one looks pretty straight, then it loops nicely back up before the squiggle. Again, never seen it quite like that.

I'd guess it's probably real, since it's pretty close. Most of his autos are probably done through a fence, over a railing to a fan, hurried at a show, annoyed in public, etc. Other parts of the auto are very typical, enough that I think the average goofball trying to forge it would have failed worse. He probably signed this at a Barnes & Noble or something similar.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND that I am not an autograph guy. I'd rather have a brief conversation for a couple minutes with a player than have him sign most anything for me.

I think it's real. One of the reasons I love to get auto'd books is because people tend to slow down and give their best sig in a book.

Also not an autograph "expert", but I have got Vizquel's autograph in person before so I guess I can chime in. My opinion: that's a very nice autograph that Omar took his time on while at a book signing.

Can anyone tell me what it saids under his auto?I can seem to figure it out.

I'm pretty sure it's Bob Dyer, the guy that co-wrote the book with Omar.

my cousin just showed me today the jersey Omar signed for him at the red sox game last nite and it was signed in some sort of ball point pen Omar had in hand on the number and it looks practically identical to the scan of the book.. Im no expert but I'd say its real.
