You take the money and run like a sissy!!!

You never know when he will possibly break a leg.....blow out his shoulder or even be implicated in a steroid scandal. You take your profits and run, just like any investment adviser will tell you. You never fall in love with your investments unless you are willing to love with them forever.

Sweet sale! I would take the $2K and run like hell! Did you pull that yourself, or pick it up elsewhere?

Yeah, I didn't fall in love. But man, he is hot right now. How much would a Hanley Ramirez or David Wright BC Gold Auto PSA 10 sell for? I know Longoria is a few years away from being at that level, but I think it's realistic.

Oh Canada......
What also surprised me is that it got a 10.... do they grade centering? Because top/bottom is off abit.

I think I paid around $700 for it six months ago or so. It seemed like a no-brain purchase at the time. I had sold a BGS 9 Gold Auto for around $650 a month or two earlier...

JRuler says T/B is 53.5/46.5, within the guidelines for GEM in both a PSA and BGS holder.

Thats a very tough comparison. The 2002 chrome D-Wright is such a condition sensitive card and they are notorious for being pack pulled with bad scratches, terrible centering and rough edges. I was lucky enough to pull one myself, everything about the card was beautiful except the centering which had 3 nast scratches on it, it was like wolverene got ahold of it. The D-Wright is also a card thats famous for being trimmed. Either way monster sale my man go buy somethnig fun.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. It's nice to have a good flip sale. The last big bucks I made was with Phil Hughes. I bought a TON of his stuff and sold most of it at his peak, but didn't sell it all, thinking it would go higher. I was wrong.

More potential than $2,000? Maybe, but that's a great sale. I have a hard time seeing a gold ref going for too much more than that. Really nice card too!

GREAT sale. You can't lose at that price.

You'll be able to buy that card back during the off season at half the cost.

A company can make another Ty Cobb card from here till eternity pretty much, there is only one first year autographed card. It's pretty simple why one can sell that high.
