I think this is a "LONG TIME LOW" for Cabrera

Obviously if there is "proof" out there, it will be known eventually. in time, it will be known.

Who cares that hes 34? doesn't matter, the guy can flat out hit a pitched baseball.

Pujols didn't lie for a $13,000 bonus. He lied because he wanted to make baseball his career, like many of the kids that come over from the poverty stricken Dominican wish to do. What people don't understand is that for every Pujols, Sosa, or Tejada you have 100 just like them that lied about their age but never made it to the big leagues. Just because he was a 13th rounder doesn't mean he didn't want to play baseball for his career. The same discussion can be made for steroid users. Why did Marvin Bernard use steroids? So he could hold the bench down with more force?

When Pujols met his current wife she was 21 and he was "19" so he *lied* about his age to get a date with her. Which by my estimation, it seems that the only person he has been truthful with about his real age has been his wife.

The fact of the matter is that ever since the kid picked up a baseball bat there have been people looking at him sideways for his overly mature build, his talent level far above that of talented peers around him, and his questionable back story. Before he was Mr. Baseball and before he was as great as he is now, casual observers and scouts alike were looking at him sideways and wanting no part of his future for that reason.

It's obvious to anyone with a set of eyes that Pujols does not look the part of your average 29 year old. The lines in his face, the definition and wrinkles around his throat, his receding hairline, the uneven growth of hair on his face, his body weight distribution in the past few years, even down to the way he moves in the field as compared to the way he did when he first arrived on the scene.... they all scream early 30's. I would be shocked if his real age was under 33 years old.

With that said, he's still one of the best baseball players on the planet and a lock for 500 HR. He will not get to 3,000 hits unless he plays until he's 49 like Julio Franco, but he will still go down as one of the best to ever play.

Then why do you think he is not telling the truth about his age?? Any evidence ?
Or just the he is a dominican stereotype? I am white for the record actually half indian (native) so I am not biased in that department I just honestly wonder why you think he is older than stated

Some guys just flat out lie about their age but I think there are some people who honestly dont know. I would imagine in some countries, mostly poor, they dont have big birthday celebrations and someone could be 11 and when the come to America they are "recorded" (whatever you want to call it) as being, say, 8. Not a huge differenct but by the time their really 30 they might actually believe, and others also, that their 27. As I said above, some families want their kids to come to the US for high school but may be 19-20 so they lie and say their 16. A lot of them probably dont even know their not the age they think they are and theres still a difference in their age.

This is 100% true. I don't know in the case of Pujols, but I do know a friend of mine that was from Vietnam, and he has no clue when he was really born. His mom and dad died when he was young, and his sisters disagree on the year he was born (they were young at the time). So he doesn't know for sure. He legally is one age, but he thinks he might be a year or two older.

I don't know one way or the other, but Cabrera was super young looking when he first came up for the Marlins. He doesn't appear older than what he states.

Typically there's a huge drop in stats from age 32 to 33, although PEDs has changed that a bit...

There was a great ESPN article (I think it was ESPN?) about this the other day.
