I wonder... Could it be that UD made these cards from Letterman auto cards? All of them pictured are letters with a signature. Seems like UD had some extra manufactured letters and put them in.

especially if they were manufactured, all that is is a cloth sticker! i dont remember the other names, but the sanchez was like that, as was the dual rookie foldout booklet. there was also another rookie that was like that. the sanchez i saw was numbered to 99.

Good call. Wonder if that could be the case, though my initial thought was - I wonder if he had just gotten done signing a bunch of these.....

I'd imagine there's a good chance he signed them at the same time, so could have thought the Exquisite's were the same deal????
Isn't there supposed to be a representative witnessing these? Or if there just sent back, then some sort of quality control person looking at them before they make their way into $600 packs.

Didn't notice before, but they also had the rookies sign on the patch for the "bookmarks" cards and "nameplate" cards. That could have been another card he had been signing previously (like the one I posted above), that caused the confusion.

Either way someone should have noticed.....considering the price point and UD knowing it would be one of the most (if not most) valuable and saught after RC in the set.

They probably are left over letterman. It appears to me that UD cut the auto out and used it for Exquisite and used the left over unsigned letter for SPA. Most 2 color SPA patches all look the same.
