I sold a few cards while I was off injured from work for 3 months. Short term disability didn't cut it after a while. Not for anything in particular, but it went partially to rent, food, living expenses. Luckily that's the only time I've ever had to worry about it.

Sold a ton of my collection back in 1994/95 to help pay for a motorcycle, Honda CBR F2. Really did not want to do it and i still think back and wish i had some of the cards back (especially some of the 60s stuff i sold), but buying the Motorbike was more important back then. Ended up crashing/totaling the motorbike and nearly killing myself a few months later ::facepalm:: ::facepalm:: ::facepalm::

I am REALLY surprised so many collectors have sold cards to get prostitutes (I can understand selling for drugs, alcohol and cigs). How does that come about? Your feeling horny in the afternoon, so you run to the card shop and sell a bunch of cards so you can buy a ****** at night? Seems weird to me, but then again ive never payed for sex ever, but i guess you gotta do what ya gotta do....

FOOD - I get a paycheck for this
DRUGS - Dont Do Them
BOOZE - Dont Drink
CIGARETTES - I get a paychek for this also
RENT - ALWAYS paid, I get a paycheck for this also
PROSTITUTES - I have never paid for sex, unlikely I ever will (not saying there are certain things I wouldnt pay for...Jennifer Love Hewitt for example)
TUITION - Scholarships and Work Study (I make too much for financial aid)

I HAVE SOLD CARDS FOR THE FOLLOWING:

More Cards, Better Cards, Autographed Jerseys, Engagement Ring (still working on it, its not a cheap purchase), and a Car (also not a cheap purchase).
