I'm starting a Donald Brown collection and I was wondering if this one was legit. I see more fakes of these cards on FCB than any other so I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on this card.

I just saw the auto....you are right, it looks off to me.

If you want a real one and sure of it let me know, I have autos that are the same as the gem 9.5 with the 10 for the auto grade.

What's really off is the $79.99 BIN price, or did I miss something during this season? I wouldn't think it should go for more than $7.99 honestly.

Here's what mine looks like for comparison. I pulled this from a $5 retail pack on Tuesday. Notice the D in Donald, the B and the rest of Brown, looks alot different. Just saying.....

The card is legit.

Players signatures change. He signed those right after he got drafted and signed hundreds of them if I'm not mistaken. After signing your name 100s of times in the span of one hour, you'd be hard-pressed to have the same signature.

And typically, Brown Rookie Premiere autos have been selling in the $30-50 range for most of the season.

You are very, very wrong about that.

You keep saying this but haven't offered an ounce of proof other than one blank Percy Harvin card which showed up on eBay and was quickly pulled.

Please do tell

There have been a ton of red ink quads that have shown up on burge's accounts in the months since the release. Burge's guys are far into this game.

I thought I've seen a few threads about these cards being fakes.

Who cares about helping out the uninformed Gellman.

Let them deal with it since most don't seem to care...

So just because Kevin Burge is selling red quad autos you are branding them as all fake?

Wow. Some journalist you are.

Wow. Some journalist you are.

Burge has showed that he either has a way to A) get the unsigned cards from a contact at Topps, or B) produce unsigned cards for signing. Now, he has gotten much better at what he does with the fakes, but even if he gets them perfect, there are just too many quad reds in his possession from the last 6-8 months. Natural deduction would state that he has fakes due to that fact alone, but to also factor in his past is the nail in the coffin.

As for the constant demeaning of my character, I understand that I am not going to be popular with everyone, and that comes with the territory. But to insinuate that I dont know what I am talking about is ludicrous, considering how much research and tracking I have done. Either way, I have not, in any way, provoked an attack from you, and I am not happy with the fact that you continually try to provoke me.

Now, I will be happy to have a civil discussion with you about whatever you want, but the minute you start chucking insults around, I am not going to stoop to your level. Its not like I called you stupid or something, and yet you feel the need to run your mouth.

Look, Burge has even gotten good enough that he can get autos through PSA without a problem. This second one is not real.

here is a real one:

Reggie Wayne RPA BGS 9.5 - ebay

here is the fake from shoeless-joejackson
PSA 10 Reggie Wayne RPA

Notice the slant of the real one, and the non-slant of the fake. Notice the pen thickness on the first vs the second. Notice the way he curls his letters on the real versus the fake. One looks much better than the other, because one is real and one is fake. Now, Wayne has a much more complex signature than Percy Harvin or Mark Sanchez, so you can see why its easier to tell. If I sat and practiced either, I could be perfect too.
