If he didn't want to sign, why didn't he just say no?

I'm kidding--sort of. I asked Gorzelanny for his autograph after the Cubs/Padres game on Tuesday. He gave me this:

84962471

I make it a point not to pester the players. If he didn't want to sign that would have been fine with me, but instead I got this.

It appears you are a Padres fan, so be happy he stopped and signed (or scribbled) for you.
No offense, but if I were player, I would not sign on the road unless the person was wearing my teams apparel.

Since it was a TTM auto I highly doubt he signed that. Just my $.02

I hear ya. It sounds unlike him to do something like that.

Dude...if you go to an astros game you'd better be trying to get the visiting team because the astros(home team) hardly sign at all. That is why I have so many autos. If I go to a game I never get the astros to sign because a lot of times they won't.The visiting team always will and does.I have never walked away from a game where we didn't get at least 3 autos from the visiting team(but in most cases more).

If I can remember it was a TTM, so I doubt Justin did that..

Perhaps I'm a bit nostalgic, but you asked for him to sign your card, he then proceded to sign your card, yes? What more do you want? The player held your card, penned his mark and handed it back to you. Is this not the reason for asking? Is not the reason so you can have a keepsake that has been touched, held by said player, inscribed and then returned, giving you something to hold and remember him by? Are you somehow going to forget that moment because the auto was not to your liking(for whatever reason)?

If your intention was to get a keepsake, something to remember him and the moment buy, then mission complete!

Thanks for your response. Do you need a ladder to get down?

Wait...

Your the one bitching because you asked for an auto, actually got one, then complain you do not like the way he signed it, and I'm on the high horse? The point of my thread was to knock you off of yours.. Strike 2 against your failed logic.

I would say the dude has a good sense of humor and printed his name because it already had a facsimile auto on it. Just a thought.
