No, it's a decent concept, except it shouldn't include ANY cards from about '86 to today. It's our parents that you hear stories of "mom threw out the cards." So this insert set should be filled with '50s, '60s and '70s reprints...not current stuff.

Agreed!!! This Alex Gordon is WAY to new to be in a set like this. I like the concept though.

I agree with that. If they wanted to reprint cards from the late 80s/early 90s, they should call the set "Cards People Thought Were Going to Be Worth Money."

What a set that would be! There are only 100 million of each card right now... let's reprint MORE!!!

:ugeek: I agree a good concept but they should have made it "the cards you put in your bike spokes" and had a certain mixture amount of original buybacks within the reprints. :D

Ordinarily I'd agree, but there should be at least some cards that the smallest collectors might have lost from their mothers -some collectors aren't teenagers yet!

The Dustin Pedroia "RC" and Lincecum 08 base should def not be on the list ::facepalm::

Speaking of the Pedroia card, I've pulled 4 of that one. 3 have gold foil on the front, 1 has silver foil. I can find no logical explanation why. Could this be an unannounced variation?

I thought the same thing, but 1 of the 3 gold foils has an original back too (the silver has original back).
