how I just opened a case and a box of jumbos plus 2 hobby boxes (contained my best card a Heathcott blue) and didn't pull a Strasburg, Castro, Ackley, Tate or Perez Auto, a single Bryce Harper, a single orange, or any auto better than a blue? Done with the hobby so if you want some nice Matt Kemp's now is the time because I own a lot of them. Yeah, I'm now over 60 straight Bowman/Chrome/Draft boxes without an auto better than a blue. Last time I opened this much at a time was 07 when I opened 5, yup 5, 6 box cases of 07 Bowman Chrome without a single Lincecum/Joba or auto better than an X(Hochevar X and Kila Kaaihue Red only decent cards from all of it as well as F-Mart base that graded 9.5 and sold well). Thank god for that Kaaihue Red I sold to some idiot for $300. Kurt Mertins Gold best other parallel I shall remember that forever! Still lost almost 2 grand on that which ended my bigger breaks for a while. Love reading stories of a one box break with a Lincecum Ref auto on here.
Yeah, the 8 packs off the shelf I bought had probably 2 better cards than the $1000+ worth I just ripped. Tate base auto, Harper chrome base, Kevin Gausman USA Gold Ref, Stras Chrome from the shelf jumbos.
Highlights are slim:
2 hobby boxes netted me the Heathcott Blue ref and a Brett Jackson Base auto, no good parallels.
Case highlights were Heyward base auto, Sizemore ref auto, Amarista Blue Ref auto, Heathcott Ref Auto, AJax base auto, Daniel McCutchen Blue auto another Brett Jackson base auto. No jumbo box had more than 3 auto's and 2/3 + of them are base.
Gold Ref of Scott Shaw and Teheran (non auto naturally).
Highlight of it all was a Clayton Kershaw Magenta Printing Plate. Yeah, well over 50,000 on wax in last decade, this is only 2nd 1 of 1 i've pulled. First was an 05 Finest White Framed Refractor Manny that I wish I had back. First plate ever woot! How pathetic is that. Oh, I guess I found out the other prospect guy opened a box and pulled a Castro Blue Auto, from the 3ish boxes bought from the shop besides me, awesome. Dumb@ss gets to pull a nice card but not a smart person.
Damn the Longoria in 06 that got me buying wax again.
