considering what those over produced Mantle/Jeter/Bush things were getting, it could hit 150

Good question. Kinda wondering a similar thing myself, but I've had two questions related to this:

1) How high will it go just based on a good debut (say a win, 9 Ks, 1 BB, 3 hits and no runs allowed through 6 innings)? Will that be enough to level the card? Will it decrease the value, even though that would be a very good debut line? Will it increase the base chrome to $50?

I actually think if he pitched a perfect game, it would send the price to about $75-80 on a base chrome. I think a good game like mentioned above would actually level the card in about the $30 range until his next game, which we'd have the same scenario, though if he pitches another game like I mentioned above, i think you see the price start to climb to the $40-45 range.

Let's ask the second question...
2) He gives up 3 runs in 4 innings, 0 walks, 6 Ks (I think he'll average 1.5K's per inning) and gets a loss. How much does his base chrome drop? Push it one further - he does poorly in his debut. What do you think it drops too?

If the chrome drops to the $15-20 range, do you buy expecting a stellar year overall?

The market is undoubtedly going to be fun to watch on this card over the next couple of months.

I personally think it's going to be somewhere in the $50 range within a month or so. I think he'll do well. I believe he is set to debut against the Pirates, so that has to help :)

There is so much fresh blood becuase of the hype added upon the hype (Yahoo, ESPN) that his prices could swing in either direction quickly and dramatically depending on his game... this is like a fresh new crazy stock... the reactions will be swift and quick. The new blood who jumped on the rising prices and joined the chase, could very easily run away on one bad outing... and just as easily pour much more $ into the chase if he has a stellar outing... it will be fun to watch.
