Looks to me like someone just went over Kemps Sig with a fake Jeter sig.

If you were going to fake a card like that though, why would you do it to a Matt Kemp? Why not just buy a Jeter and really cash in? Not saying it's not, it certainly was the first thing that crossed my mind, just very strange.

I don't think a Matt Kemp /250ish would sell for much more than $10, so he probably viewed it as a situation where he nothing to lose

Wow even if the sig wasn't that bad (which it is), the years at the top and the inscription at the bottom was just overkill.

I get that, but doing this to a Matt Kemp, or anyone other than Jeter, it makes it seem even more suspicious. You could buy whatever the easiest Jeter to get from the set is, do the same thing, and probably make a lot more than this "error". Plus it seems even more odd coming from a seller who isn't small time, I mean why make people question your rep for something like this? To do this seems just so random. I don't know, maybe I'm putting too much thought into it and the seller is just an idiot.

Wow it does look fake and its also funny that this guy is a power seller and he didnt even know he could edit his auction to add the best offer feature. Haha he cancelled his auction and relisted it just the add that.

I emailed the seller and he seems legitimately concerned with the situation. He said he bought it from some kid at a show for $300 hoping for a quick flip on eBay. I told him that I'm pretty sure it's not real, and he asked me to call him so I could tell him why. I told him I planned to call UD tomorrow, and he asked me a few times to follow back up with him to let him know what they said.
