If you could go back in time & stock pile 1 guy who would it be? Taking in to consideration original buy in prices & turnaround time on profits ect....

Mike Trout is an obvious one with the crazy amount his cards were getting but who are some others?

I wasn't around to buy any of those vintage cards but yes those would be the ones to get.

One guy of the top of my head that I was thinking of buying exquisite autos under $75 was Russell Westbrook and man I'm kicking myself now. I did buy 3 Blake griffin exquisites for $100 each though.

Strasburg was already a pretty high buy in but he was a quick turnaround.

Jason Heyward was a big one with that HR in his first at bat, wish I would have had about 100 of his autos at that time.

Honus Wagner... Turn a few pennies into $1,000,000
That was my pick too, and then I thought, how do you stockpile a card of which only 75 or so exist, for pennies each, when the T206 was worth $1,000 even in the 1960s?
So I'll pick the 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle, since a 1976 price guide I have shows it was only worth $3 then, and every mail order dealer had multiples of the card.

1952 Mantle - wow that would be awesome to have a shoebox full of them.

Modern Cards - Jurickson Profar I did purchase 3 Chrome Base Autos for $60 and 1 Elite /100 for $18, basically turned those into $400. Wish i would have known, I assumed because of Andrus he would eventually be traded at the trade-deadline one year. Have 1 Blue and 3 BGS 9.5 autos I bought in on low hopefully they get back up to $260+ like during his callup.

Trout was a no brainer wish I would have gotten alot more. Made great money on his cards especially 2011 Finest and 09 Sterling. I just want to know who the heck is paying these prices for his cards. They have to go down right??? No way a base chrome can hit $800-1000?

I'd go back to 2008 and hoard Verlanders. Although you could still have paid $50 for BC refractor autos in early 2011 and turned them into $100 bills less than 6 months later.

There are too many. Pujols and Trout would be good examples because I'd probably want to keep one 2001 BC Pujols or 2009 Gold or better Trout and still be way ahead. But they aren't even the best ROI guys. And even then they pale compared to Basketball, and that pales compared to certain MTG cards or comics.
