Do you think that with this being titled as a 2006 card instead of 2008 like it actually is that it attracted more bidders who didn't know this?

Or maybe it's just because of his 5 wins in a row streak.

I can't decide, but it seems like he was getting no extra hobby attention after 4 wins in a row, so I don't know why one more would make that much of a difference.

Last raw one auction style ended in the $70s.

Either way, might be time for you all to flood the market if you have been waiting to flip Porcello AFLACs, because this is the highest they've hit since shortly after BDP's release.

Doesn't say whether or not it is the 2008 BDP version, either. Could very well be an IP auto on a base AFLAC card.

Some buyers are morons.

I would assume it's the BDP just because the auto is in the exact same place as all the others with the same blue marker.

But yeah, Porcello has been outstanding during his win streak, but I want to think that it has to do with more buyers jumping in without knowing what they're buying...and taking the "2006" in the title a little too literally since it's technically a 2008 card of course.

Maybe it's a combination of both.

Topps has the AFLAC players sign the cards before the game, so once the fans start coming in, the players are well into a "groove" as to where to sign them outof habit.

My guess is that it is a IP autograph from the game.

I see your point but wouldn't you think an IP would bring in less money than a certified auto?

No.....people are searching for Porecello AFLAC auto*, I doubt anyone is adding the year because it is not relevant to the search.

However, I have seen it happen....more than a handful of times, people make a typo in the title and the cards sells for more than the market average. Not sure why but it happens more than you might think.

Yeah that's what I would think too, but I could definitely see some more ignorant collectors saying "Oh this one is from 2006, this must be his first autograph card" and bidding appropriately.

I kinda hope I'm wrong and he's just on the rise because it makes my collection more valuable.
