Some of the guys were bought in big quantities BUT not all of the cards werre bought in huge quantity in the closing minutes
I thought only a few of the players were bought in big quantities

If that "checklist: by thepit is accurate (with all 24 players), how the heck did thepit get these cards if they all weren't bought in big quantities via ebay based on closing auctions?

In other words, with cards not #ed, none of us nobodies really know if some cards don't get destroyed but end up being filtered thru the pit

That really blows for people who bought SP hoping the SP value remained

I am not saying the cards are not going to be destroyed. I am just a little iffy seeing the list of all the players on the checklist because I was under the assumption that not all 24 players were sold in large enough quantities to be sold on thepit

[quote="AKA Coastal":2gariujk]The only thing I'm confused about is.Thepit is releasing large quantities of all the players listed below. I thought they only purchased about 10 players in quanitity? I count 24 on their list.

Special Limited Edition 2008 Razor Metal Rookie IPO Announced for this Thursday April 9 at 5pm PST! 20+ Razor Exclusives Rookies Including

Aaron Hicks
Aaron Crow
Brian Matusz
Brett Lawrie
Buster Posey
Brett Wallace
Carlos Santana
Che-Hsuan Lin
Casey Kelly
Destin Hood
David Cooper
Eric Hosmer
Ethan Martin
Gordon Beckham
Jason Castro
Joshua Fields
Justin Smoak
Jemile Weeks
Kyle Skipworth
Matt Wieters
Pedro Alvarez
Ryan Westmoreland
Tim Beckham
Yonder Alonso

Hmm, I don't like seeing all those names on the list.

Didn't you buy some of the few Casey Kellys that sold? Was it a SP or am I thinking of another player. Anyone have a link to how of each card sold?

I bought 10 Kellys, but looks like someone did buy 50 of each of them pretty much. So sales were much much lower before that.[/quote:2gariujk]

Gotcha, so all the people on the above list were purchased in some quantity by at least 1 buyer?[/quote:2gariujk]

Hopefully these links work

http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidsLogin&item=330311532600 Kelly. I was the 10 purchaser.

http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidsLogin&item=330311536656 Westmoreland. I bought 5.

http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidsLogin&item=330311532874 Lin. Someone bought 150.

I just got off the phone with thepit (Alex). They said they bought them directly from Brian. No middle man.

You aren't making much sense here. Your statements are contradictory. If they bought them from "Chris" then they did buy them through a middle man.

AKA Coastal, help me out, my brain is fried.....who is Chris?

Did Razor sell directly to a pit rep?

For how much will these cards "debut" on the pit?

One would think that if the pit (or whomever) bought these for $5 each plus postage then they would have to chrage quite a bit more than $5 to make sure they make a profit and cover the loss of any cards that don't sell.
If they don't debut for well over $5, it's a mystery how they could do such a business transaction without losing money

I'll try this again. I got off the phone with Alex at thepit.com and said. "We bought them directly from the new owner of Razor." So he actually didn't say Brian. He said the owner.

It was 3 dollars postage for however many you bought. So postage is not an issue. I was told the day after they ended by Brian that I had 10% of the print run on Casey Kelly.

Beefy,
Don't you think that whomever bought in quantities over 75-100+ would have to charge $10-15 each to cover the loss of the __% that do not sell?

Would red flags pop up if cards were being sold on thepit for under $10?

Also Beefy, do you still have 10% of the print run OR did that number change? (ie more were sold afterwards)

I have been trying to stay out of everything and anything Razor, but I just can't help it. It seems like EVERYTHING this company does is mired in controversy. Why is that??? Any one else agree that where there is smoke, there is usually fire? Razor seems to be sending a constant barrage of smoke signals.

I bought over 50 and paid 2.99 for shipping.

according to razor

All cards on the pit.com are part of the count on ebay, and they paid the same price everyone else did.

All cards not bought in the auctions will be destroyed.

A GREAT deal of the controversy has invented by people with great imagination, and they have been escalated by poor PR practices by razor.

I agree that all this happened. The only thing I was questioning was the middle man for thepit.

Razor still says there was a middle man, however that is quite inconsequential.

I guess in the end it doesn't really matter about the middle man. Thepit has control of the cards now and Razor got their money. If the quantities add up after thepit releases them Thursday then everything is dandy.

I guess "technically" they could have had someone buy them out completely and put them all on The Pit, so as an alternative, I would think this is perfectly acceptable. :)
