I have a huge Rookie stash of Hawksworth and tonight was his ML debut. Tulo faced Hawksworth twice and went 0-2 and Hawksworth still gave up 4 earned.

Tell me about it...between my Hawksworth and Jess Todd stashes I'm not looking too good here. Are the Rockies just that hot or are our arms just that bad?

Regardless of what the box may show for his first appearance, Hawk looked good. He needs to work on his breaking balls (curve and slider) but his changeup and fastball (especially the changeup) are MLB ready, and that changeup is top quality and nasty. In my opinion, he still has the potential to be at least a #2 starter one of these days. And yes, I have a large stash of him as well. ;)

I didn't want to get to lengthy, but I agree...in fact, I'd say he threw 1 bad pitch and he could have easily been out of the inning way before that bad pitch.

The Cardinals can't send him down to the minors or he'd have to clear waivers and with the year he had in AAA as a starter, he would surely get picked up by a team and likely be a #4 or 5 starter.
