We appreciate the feedback on the recent Metal Andrew Luck cards which included spelling errors.
I am embarassed over these oversights and I would like to apologize on behalf of LEAF that these errors occured.

These were printed as part of a much larger job and were only one card on a 100 card sheet.
With that being said, there is still no excuse for this error..

In an effort to address this issue in the most responsible manner:

1> We have removed all listings for auction style cards featuring this error. This includes ALL parallels. All bids are cancelled and the cards will be destroyed!

2> We have discontinued selling the error version of the Luck Prismatic. We WILL ship the 39 copies sold last night, but will be destroying the rest of the copies immediately. Therefore, while the cards are numbered to 350, only 39 cards will be released. We will only ship cards #1/350 to 39/350.

3> We have (at great expense) stopped the presses mid-production and added this card to our Metal Football Draft print job. We WILL be reprinting these cards with corrections made. These cards will be made available on ebay in the next 10 days for shipment approximately February 7th. These corrected versions will be made available similar to the manner error versions were.

4> The base version of the Luck card has no errors and will continue to be made available continously until the production run is sold out.

5> We will allow any collectors who wish to swap their "error" prismatic the opportunity to swap for corrected versions...

I am pleased we found this solution to any concerns over the errors on these cards.

Once again, I personally apologize to both collectors and Andrew for these errors and hope this resolution resolves open concerns..

Wow, don't really feel that was necessary. The haters in the other thread would still be hating, typo or not.

Anyway, 39 people are going to be very happy. Now I wish I would have snagged one last night.

Edited to add: You are pleasing a few who didn't even care about the cards and just wanted to bash Leaf but you will be pissing off tons of people who actually wanted the cards.

I think you should start the corrected cards at 40/350

Outstanding, Brian. I commend you for doing the right thing! This hobby we love became a little bit better today.

Topps, upper deck, and Panini should take note.

I agree, but we also owe it to Andrew Luck to portray him in the best possible manner. That coupled with collector feedback makes taking the financial loss a no-brainer.

Might not be feasible if some want to exchange their error cards for corrected versions.

Now here's a manufacturer that is proving he cares.

Well done, Brian.

I bought 5 of the 39 Prismatic sold. The error didn't bother me. I really liked the look of the card. Error or no error, BG still listens to the community and responds. Kudos. Can't wait for the new Army Football product.

I would like to thank BG for correcting this, and I am proud to say that I will be one of the owners of the 39 cards!
Thanks Again!

2 of the 39..... :D :D

So what does everyone foresee the outcome and profit potential of these Luck errors?
Will there be a small window with the new batch coming out the first week of February, or do you think the errors will still be desirable/

Thoughts?

Hey Brian, I was just wondering, do you ever do press releases for these cards?

I would be very interested in purchasing the Kellen Moores that you produce, but I don't search for his stuff every day as all of it are not cards.

Of course you would like to thank him for correcting this. You will soon be the owner of the rarest Andrew Luck card on the planet (for the time being).

Pretty laughable the few boreball jokers that piled on without a vested interest or never purchase football cards disappeared. How come they do not post in this thread when something good is done? Pretty much proves they just have axes to grind or out of tissues?

I agree. Nothing wrong with voicing disgust when it's warranted as long as you are also willing to give credit when and where it's due.
