Alright, are you talking about the Luke Hochevar that the Royals drafted first overall ahead of Longo and Kershaw? I am in utter shock if you are.

I think you might've bought that from me. Not sure if there are multiple BGS 10's of the /25, but I had one a while back.

I don't see why people are so anal about this. I mean, sure, Longo was a better pick. Sure, Kershaw was a better pick, but Hochevar is NOT a bad pitcher. He's had his off days, but he still has a lot of potential (as shown today). Get over it bro. They didn't take two great guys, but they got a very good pitcher, in my humble opinion.

Maybe he is good if you are talking about potiential. This is the first time he has shown any sign of dominance in the bigs. What support do you have backing up the claim that he is a very good pitcher?

Agreed. How were the Royals to know that Kershaw and Longoria were going to be the type of players they are today. Just wait a few years and see how the Nationals feel about Strausberg (SP?), he could be a flop on a major league level. You just never know.

The one thing prospectors don't have control over are who teams draft...I'm sorry that you, as a Royal fan( ) or KC homer; would have rather had Longo or Kershaw, but I'd give the kid a chance. He was drafted out of HS straight into the pros and you know I know (name that rap reference) that you can't predict what you get there.

This isn't even my card...I just nearly fell over when I asked my buddy if he had any Hochevar stuff and this was the first card he pulled out.

You may be. My buddy said, "I hope so!" ...as he's hoping this card is the only Pristine from that PR.

I am a fan of Hochevar since College-( I have no cards of him however)

Good to see the great outing yesterday. I agree that Longoria was a better pick but before you pile on with the Kershaw lovefest. take a look at Kershaw's stats as of today

Kershaw's ERA is 4.50, and he is 3-5 on a First Place team, not the Royals. He is also not exactly going deep into games. Maybe if Hochevar were in the bigs this whole time he would have better numbers than he currently does.

Continue on hating on Hochevar now

My buddy is setting here and he read your post. He has WAY more Kershaw stuff and he said you were dead on and told me to applaud you...so I guess I should +1 you.

Nice post.
