Really like this letter from Everett Dean. Dean both played and coached baseball at IU. Although he was successful at both (he even won a National Championship at Stanford as coach), he is most known for his coaching and writing about basketball. Bob Knight said "Everett Dean has almost as much of a claim to being considered the father of Indiana University basketball as George Washington has for our country."
Dean both coached and hired Branch McCracken, who coached IUs first two national championships in 1940 and 1953. Dean is the only person elected to both the college baseball and basketball Hall of Fame.
Also 9 new Dustin DeMuth cards, and one dual with Sam Travis
I missed that Alex Dickerson was promoted to the Padres for a cup a coffee, becoming the 28th IU alum to do so. He was also the fourth IU player in the majors this year joining Josh Phegley (Athletics), Micah Johnson (White Sox) and Kyle Schwarber (Cubs).
This is the first time four players were in the MLB at the same time since 1999 when Chris Peters (Pirates), John Wehner (Pirates), Kevin Orie (Marlins), and Mickey Morandini (Cubs) did so.
