Tony LaRussa's personal petty grudge against the most likable and best defensive 2nd baseman of our generation can't be good for baseball.

I'm officially pissed. How Greinke was snubbed is beyond my comprehension.

I know it's hard to see a guy on your favorite team not make the squad but it's another year of the pitcher and Greinke really doesn't stand out among the dozens of pitchers that are having just as good of, or even better, season that he is having.

There isn't a pitcher on the team that isn't having just as good or better season than Greinke. Someone has to be left off.

BP is the player that I'd really like to see most in the NL

More like because of 1 player per team rules because Geinke stands head and shoulders above Miley or Street. I'd think you could even argue Geinke over Kershaw though it could go either way in that debate.

I really don't think Greinke is "head and shoulders" above Miley considering Miley had just as many wins as Greinke and a 2.19 ERA going into his last start before Milwaukee tagged him for 8 runs.

Even now their numbers are similar with Miley having the better WHIP and Greinke having the K's. They both deserve to be there equally.

Zack Greinke is 1st in the NL in xFIP, and has 40 more K's and the same amount of walks in only 8 more IP. Greinke leads the NL in pitcher-WAR.

Greinke IS head-and-shoulders more deserving than Miley, Lynn, and Kershaw frankly.

It's become a moot point to me. Chipper will be there, as Major League Baseball, and its fans, have a fetish for celebrating "their guy" and lifetime achievements at the ASG, rather than simply recognizing the half season's best*. Being that there is no limit to how many times one person can vote, the one vote I don't submit is ultimately replaced by the 25 votes that Joe Hometeam will cast.

*Case in point: Sandoval-Wright=1.6 million

You can use sabermatics all you want but...Kershaw has better ERA, better WHIP, better BAA, a whopping 1 more K. Greinke has more wins but has about 2x the run support per game than Kershaw does. So head and shoulders..No...a good pitcher yes. ERA is 17th in NL, his WHIP is like 25. Kershaw leads him all those categories. With all the stats out there we can usually find one that "our guy" is better at than the "other guy" but THERE ISNT ONE that Greinke is head and shoulders over Kershaw. If you wanna throw out your XFIP #- 9.0 vs. 8.74..phew! BTW...I would take either guy. They are both good pitchers and Miley is having a heck of a year either way.

Im working in the bay area and they had on TV the other day during Giants game a room full of people with a table full of computers and thats all they were doing was voting?? What the heck. I guess Giants "got the vote out". Wasnt Belt like the #2 1st baseman?? I was kinda surpised at the TV broadcast and they were all proud of the room full of people "stuffing the ballot" so to speak. Oh well!

Doesn't Texas need a representative? Obviously it needs to be Darvish in the AL because they don't have any other players on the roster.

In the NL, give it to Chip.

You have to remember that Miley is Arizonas only representative

Yeah this just screams homer-ism bro. Greinke, Miley, and Kershaw are all having great years and Greinke is not head and shoulders above either one. Does Greinke deserve to be there? Sure. But so does everyone else.

No it doesn't. I am not attached to Greinke nor do I think he'll be a Brewer past this season. But I can make a case that Zack Greinke is the best pitcher in the NL right now. I'll take back Kershaw, but he IS head-and-shoulders more deserving that Miley, Lynn (and Street).

I was like "I'm going to vote 100 times for Chipper!" I voted 10 times and got REALLY bored. I can't see how people can sit there and type in a 5 digit code 10,000 times for NOTHING.
