If the hobby were a business and sellers determined all the prices than the price for this card could be surprising I suppose. But since many collectors don't look at the hobby as a business they're not abiding by any such 'rules' and pay what they like!

Some people (I'm not saying you) become conditioned to think that only certain cards are expensive, but the hobby is way too complicated and complex for that.

agreed, i think the mass majority of people that collect GU and DO have these players in their collection, that they would feel it is a crazy high price (including the inidividual that won a #/18 for $20), or were you saying you thought it was a fair price?

hobby rule #1 a card is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. so that cards is worth 202.50 until another one sells

My hobby rule #1 is "collect what you want, but understand what you're collecting" :lol:
