Inside Pitch Show in Raleigh Jan 24,25. Who's going?

Ok folks, its coming up this weekend. Ray Mozingo is putting on another decent sized show this coming weekend in Raleigh. Is anyone planning on going up to the show? I plan on being there on Saturday morning. I can meet up with anyone who plans on going.


Show details

When: January 24-25, 2009 (Saturday/Sunday)
Where: Scott Building, North Carolina State Fairgrounds 1025 Blue Ridge Road
Time: Saturday 10-5, Sunday 10-4
Admission: $5
Promoter: Ray Mozingo
# tables: 180
Ammenities: Concession Stand inside building serving hotdogs/drinks/burgers/pizza/nachos/etc. There are also some vendors outside incase you want to go out and take a break or go over to the flea market.
Additional Notes from Blanning: This show is traditionally football, basketball, and hockey heavy due to the time of year. Normally there are some decent deals to be found at this show and most dealers are willing to deal for their cards/wax. There are also some nice memorabilia dealers there in case you autograph guys or mem guys are looking for some nice stuff. I haven't heard if there will be an autograph guest at this show. Typically there is a former ***** League player there showing off some nice pieces and he is selling his autographs too. This show is a really nice show and it should be fun should you decide to go. There is also a flea market on the grounds as well across the pavillion from the Scott Building and there are usually some cards there too. Parking is close to the building and is fairly cheap. I think its about 5 bucks or so. There is a concession stand open in the Scott Building

I'm going. I'm actually setting up to sell. Have my dime, quarter, and dollar boxes all ready to go plus my 5 dollar grab bags. It will be my second time setting up. 1st one was the December '08 show. Had a blast, so I'm doing it again.

Only thing I would add to the comments is a weekend pass (good for both days) is $7, and I don't think you have to pay to park. I've attended the show fairly regularly over the last few years and never had to pay. Hope it's not a new thing.

PM me your wants & prices you are willing to pay, and I'll keep an eye out for you. Since I'm set up, I won't have as much time to look at the other dealers inventory as I would if I was just attending as a buyer. But, I'm more than happy to pick some stuff up if I see it and it's in your price range.

I don't know where my table will be yet. And, I'm not sure what I'll be wearing yet. But, I can at least describe my table. I will have a huge (I mean huge) box filled with grab bags on the right side of the table as you face it. Next to that I will have a $1 box (or 2). Next to that I will have a $0.10 box (or 2). Next to that I will have several $0.25 boxes. Under the table I'll have a couple of 5,000 count boxes filled with mixed base cards (semistars & commons). Behind the boxes on the table, I'll have some singles. Behind the table I will have a couple of large boxes with bubble mailers. I'll have a couple of signs hanging off the front of the table - 1 advertising a pirates team signed ball that a coworker wants me to try to sell, 1 with the bubble mailer prices, and 1 offering to buy.

Now that I describe it, it doesn't sound too professional. But, I'm just a collector trying to make the wife happy by getting rid of some clutter.

I'll also have my youngest son with me on Saturday. So if you see a very bored kid, playing a Nintendo DS, sitting on a red fold-up camping chair - that's my table!

thanks everyone in advance.. basically any card numbered under /20 would be a card I need.. any recollection auto's or very low numbered auto's. I need a ton of stuff when it comes to game used and auto's but I've been working very hard on the base GU'ed and have all the most common ones pretty well locked up now.

Prime Patches and Absolute multi piece, auto's etc are good examples of cards I need and like.

Hey - please send me a price range for the type of stuff you are looking for. I agree that it is a long shot that somebody will have some real low #ed Canseco patches or autos. But, just in case somebody does, I'd hate to pass up a buying opportunity for you because I don't know your price range.
