Instead of AIM chats, could there be a chatroom on FCB?

How hard is that? extra cost? I dunno.
Till then, I know it's late and it's late and it's Monday,
but we can do an AIM chat while we discuss the possibilities of a board chat.

No.

It detracts people from using the forums.

Not to mention the amount of bandwidth that a chat room would require that either

a. Slow everything on the site down to an unbearable level or
b. Force a server and bandwidth upgrade that would be impossible to afford.

You guys use more than 10 gigs of bandwidth a day already. I honestly think it would cause issues for the site and the rest of you.

They do it

Does the way they do it affect the bandwith also?

More than likely yes. But they also have 50 adds on every page to pay for it. If you guys are willing to trade a decent working site based on collecting only, for a bill board, we could do it.
