That 7 of the 10 are pitchers is something of a surprise. I'd figure it'd be 8 or 9. Not even teen starlets who date Paulie Shore lose their glow faster than a pitcher with an 8-figure annual salary going 10-12, 4.97.

My #1 rule for investing is rookie cards is not to buy pitchers. I imagine the only comfort GMs must feel after a Jason Schmidt kind of deal is that at least it wasn't their money.

At least my boy zito has pitched 3 full seasons, and had a respectable 09. Hopefully he'll return to his all star or cy young form in 2010!
