Interesting ebay interaction - How do I block a buyer?

Someone posted about having to dumb down auctions for Strasburg and Harper because of the volume of different buyers for their cards. I currently have a Harper USA chrome up for BIN/BO. I think the following interaction proves that point of some of these inexperienced ebayers.

potential buyer question:
HI, WHATS THE ABSOLUTE LOWEST I CAN BUY FOR? THANKS AGAIN...

My response:
Just looking for what others are going for approximately

His response:
ILL GIVE YA $20.00...

My response:
There is the best offer option directly on the auction if you'd like to make a formal offer. Although one Harper card sold for BIN of $20, most sell in the $25-$35 range and that's what I'm looking for. An offer of $30 and I'd accept, but anything less than $25 and I'll probably wait. The card will also spike when he signs his contract, when he begins to play, and when he gets called up.

I kind of thought the whole interaction was a little weird. I'm a little worried that he'll bid on some of my stuff, just to leave negative feedback, as it seems somehow I offended him. I thought about responding with some snide sarcastic remark about caps lock and what I can only assume is his young age. However, I think I'm just going to play it safe, block him as a bidder, and forget about it. Posting here will be cathardic enough for me . What would you do? I've never blocked a bidder before, and I'm probably being an idiot, but I can't see how to block a specific bidder. Can anyone give me a little help in finding how to block a bidder? Thanks.

You all must not sell that much because I get similar questions fairly frequently. The buyer is trying to get a deal just like anyone else but instead of putting in an offer tried to contact you.

Just respond with: "Please submit your best offer" or something as generic and let it go from there. If the buyer offers $20 and you don't want $20, you decline--or automatically decline if you want to filter even more easily. Flat out blocking the person is pretty extreme.

Best not to tell them... they need to go through that last minute snipe bid only to be rejected... you can only imagine the implosion that takes place!

Why not Chris. I know this could be the reason, but I respond to the first one and then not again if they act like this guy.

I think he's saying he should have just responded with "submit your best offer", and that would have resulted in NOT getting that response. And frankly, that is the best way to respond to these inquiries. Getting into it with these types of buyers leads to these unnecessary interactions.
