It's not hard to create/modify a redemption card with photo editing software! The ebay auction started/ended in the wee hours of the morning... none of my "Aprils Fools" comments are being approved (yet others are since I've posted them)... come on now, people!

I believe this is an April Fools joke as well, and a pretty good one at that!

Look at the "MA" in Gellman. The A's left leg is cut off. The fonts they used on actual redemptions were spaced far enough apart to keep them easily whole. Though all of them have the pixel distortion, the leg isn't distorted, it's abruptly cut off.

Also, notice how the two M's (in his name) are identical (even the distortion on them) and they have a weird blur to them making them lighter in appearance than all of the other characters. That's because the M's are the only characters that couldn't be copied elsewhere on the card.

I won't act like I didn't bite at first - I most definitely did. I wrote big long comment about how that it was great for him, and I'd be excited if it were me, but ripped the whole idea as being stupid and that I couldn't wait for the gimmick police to have a field day with it!
I then realized the date and deleted the entire thing. It is elaborate, yes, and well executed! But we're all paranoid about everything these days!!! It is certainly better than the "I'm stopping my blog" crap that nobody cares about.
