Topps recently shipped out a bulk of the 2008 Bowman Chrome Draft Michael Inoa Auto Redemption, and I happened to notice something peculiar with car versus the few that were inserted in back as the "live" version. The "live" version had a card number of BDPP126, while the "redemption" version was given a card number of BDPP142. Does this mean the original live versions will be considered a SP?

Also, I know the kid is only "16", but check out how inconsistent his auto is:

Nice catch. The auto on the redemption version also looks better too. I always wondered why they put the sticker numbers on some cards and surprised that some idiot hasn't peeled them off and touted them as super short print errors.

Below the sticker it will say 142, so keeping the sticker on the card would make more sense.

Then again...it's highly doubtful that either version will garner a premium.

Quite a few of the autographs have "sticker" card numbers in the final product. Here was the initial autograph checklist (players in bold made the cut):

BDPP111 Mat Gamel
BDPP112 Lonnie Chisenhall
BDPP113 Carlos Gutierrez
BDPP114 Greg Halman
BDPP115 Michael Stanton
BDPP116 Ike Davis
BDPP117 Anthony Hewitt
BDPP118 Kala Kaaihue
BDPP119 Daniel Schlereth
BDPP120 Zach Collier
BDPP121 Evan Frederickson
BDPP122 Mike Montgomery
BDPP123 Lance Lynn
BDPP124 Brad Hand
BDPP125 Josh Lindblom
BDPP126 Cody Adams
BDPP127 Javier Rodriguez
BDPP128 Cody Satterwhite
BDPP129 Jason Knapp
BDPP130 Charlie Blackmon
BDPP131 Gorkys Hernandez
BDPP132 Adam Moore
BDPP133 Chris Tillman
BDPP134 Wilmer Flores
BDPP135 Hector Rondon
BDPP136 Logan Morrison
BDPP137 Gordon Beckham
BDPP138 Josh Reddick
BDPP139 Alan Horne
BDPP140 Dennis Dixon
BDPP141 Luke Montz
BDPP142 Michael Inoa
BDPP143 Steve Garrison
BDPP144 Jesus Montero
BDPP145 Jason Donald
BDPP146 David Hernandez
BDPP147 Rafael Rodriguez
BDPP148 TBD
BDPP149 TBD
BDPP150 TBD

Not on the initial list: Derek Holland and Buster Posey.

As stated, I'm sure if you peeled the sticker off of any of the original "live" autos, you'd see #142. For that reason, I don't ever see #142 being worth more than #126. Perhaps the other way around, but I seriously doubt it (too easy to fake the sticker).

A bit off topic, but it'd be interesting owning a baseball card of the Steelers back up QB (I'm assuming it's the same Dennis Dixon).

If that's the case then why bother going through the expense and trouble of putting them on?

Without the stickers, the prospect checklist would be:

Base cards
BDPP1
through
BDPP110

Autos
BDPP112
BDPP113
BDPP115
BDPP116
BDPP117
BDPP119
BDPP120
BDPP121
BDPP122
BDPP124
BDPP126
BDPP134
BDPP137
BDPP138
BDPP142
BDPP144
BDPP148
BDPP149

The skip-numbering would cause confusion. Would you want a checklist like that? Me neither. ;)
