Been reading about that.

My thought, make the books available here as cheap as you make them in other countries. Stop charging out-the-ass on books here just because you can. Being a current student, it's absurd what these books cost, and if the kid made money, good for him.

I think the company is getting what's coming to them. If they can sell them that cheap in other countries, they can sell them that cheap here.

As far as the long-lasting, far-reaching impacts of what might be involved, I have no idea. It just hit a nerve with me because the main case was about the price of books.

It also relates to my (former) job. I lost my job because it was basically cheaper to send the whole company overseas and import back to this country.

It amazes me that this kid could buy the SAME EXACT THING in Thailand, have it sent here (shipping $), and re-sell it on ebay (fees/more shipping $), and still make a profit of that much! Plus he was probably giving some back to his family for getting and sending them to him in the first place.

Reminds me of overpaying for medical care here (although the reasons for the added expense are a little different).

This won't be upheld mostly because it wouldn't be in the public interest and would be impossible to enforce.
