Was watching Pawn Stars from the other night, and they had an interesting trivia question about the birth of the Yankee logo. Before I reveal the answer, anyone have an guesses, or know the answer? dano7 @wvnut13 Yanks2151 and any others...

It was first used on a medal for a fallen police officer.

Here's something else interesting about the Yankees logo. Did you know that the Yankees use multiple versions of the interlocking NY?

Cool trivia.
Also, the Yankees didn't become a team in New York until 1903, when they were the Highlanders.
And they didn't use the Tiffany logo until 1909, 32 years after it was created.
The Highlanders then became the Yankees in 1913.

And how many of you knew the Yankees were originally founded in Baltimore in 1901 and called the Orioles for two years before moving to New York?

No idea on the logo. Knew the origin of the team and progression, though. Good stuff!
