I always liked the green refractors too. I don't mind the idea of a retail only refractor. Oddly some of these retail only issues end up being harder to track down than hobby versions for player collectors.

What are the odds for autos? Are there odds for chrome autos (as well as the "sotf-ones" you are already slated to get in retail only)?

So the question posits: For those that will be going for complete rainbows, will this new parallel be considered a must to complete said rainbow?

I myself, am still debating; dependent on scarcity/quantity on eBay.

Yea, i will consider it part of the rainbow. Wonder how rare they really are though. Is that much retail produced?

I hate the idea now that I think about it. I can just see myself bidding on something that is advertised as a blue refractor only to receive a purple refractor.

Those are more like Bluerple Refractors.

Reminds me of those Brown refs, I mean, gold refs.

I think retail only parallels is a great idea as it separates the two products and creates another chase.

As someone who is collecting the retail only parallel blue refractors from 2009 Topps Chrome Football...I love the idea of another oddball chase set.

PM me your need list of the Football blue refractors, I have a ton of them!

I hope that no wise guy puts a purple up as a blue....watch for the serial number in the listing and you should be cool. Are they indigo or violet in the spectrum? haha

That's a valid point. The idea of a retail only color is ok by me, but like you say, the color choice could have been more distinctive from blue. It would have been cool to see green come back.
