Freedom Card Board has some of the best collections and collectors in the sports collectible hobby. The time has come to honor those collectors by inducting their cards, sets, memorabilia pieces, and complete collections into the FCB Hall of Fame. Five single cards, two sets, two pieces of memorabilia, and two complete collections will be selected as the inaugural Class of 2013. We will begin by accepting nominations for the single baseball cards. You can nominate your own card or another member can nominate your item. Naturally, including a picture or scan of the item would be a good idea. The FCB staff will select 10 nominees (a maximum of one per person) as finalists. The community will then vote on those nominees, with the top 5 vote-getters receiving induction into the FCB Hall of Fame. Those members who receive induction will be profiled on the FCB Blog, receive real world and electronic items commemorating their inductions, and more.
In 2014, we will begin electing items and collections into football and basketball cards into the Hall. First things first, head over to the FCB Hall of Fame – Baseball Card Nominations thread and post the cards you think deserve the honor. Nominations will close at midnight EST, Friday, September 20[SUP]th[/SUP]. The following week voting will occur, with winners announced thereafter. Have fun with the process. These boards are an amazing community, with great collectors and great members. Let’s see whose cards you think deserve induction into the FCB Hall of Fame
