Not a pretty game, but a road win is a road win.
Especially seeing how Frenetz has never won in Lansing its a huge win.

Nor have the 'Hawks ever been 8-0. I'm stoked for the next 3 games.

No matter what bowl they play in, it's been an amazing season so far.

Maybe Stanzi is turning into the Big 10's version of Ben Roethlisberger. Everyone keeps picking against his team, and yet he leads them to a win.

Very mediocore, with too many turnovers, for 3 1/2 quarters then BAM! he dominates the end of the game. His numbers don't look great but he keeps winning tight, clutch games and on the road too.

I still don't think they'll run the table, but they don't have to to win the Big 10 and play for the Roses.

The only way the Hawkeyes have a shot at the Rose Bowl is running the table, but I'll be happy with the bowl selection they get simply being 8-3, let alone 11-0.

And speaking of Roethlisberger, I was at the Iowa/Miami OH game his senior year. It was a blood bath. Big Ben was a pre-season Heisman hopeful and the Iowa defense just destroyed him. It was the Redhawks first game and only loss of the season.

It ended 21-3, and it was the only game where the Redhawks scored less than 30 points all season. Big Ben threw 4 INTs that game.

The last 2 games Stanzi has played great football. no picks.

Also we can still have 1 loss and go to the rose bowl because of the people we beat. Ohio St has two losses Penn St has a loss to Iowa. Wisconsin has a loss to Iowa and Ohio St Michigan St has a loss to Iowa and Wisconsin Michigan is just out of it already.

Not this year I don't think.

The Rose Bowl is the location of the National Championship, therefore #1 and #2 in the BCS standings, or close will be vying for that. So it will take an undefeated season (or collapse at the top) to get a decent chance.

With one loss, Iowa will win the Big 10, and probably be in line for a BCS berth, but there are no guarantees.

[EDIT: Looking into it further, I am confusing the "Rose Bowl" as a location and the "Rose Bowl" as a game. The Rose Bowl in Pasadena will host two games this year...the National Championship and the Rose Bowl game. So yes, at this point, even with one loss Iowa is playing in Pasadena...or better.]
