Is a lack of new products for the time being a good thing?

I am looking forward to seeing the new Hoops set but I guess everything from Panini is on hold. Is that a good thing? In some ways, I hope it is if it means collectors are busting old boxes and maybe selling stuff that normally would just sit around. If this continues, I guess it means a decrease in future wax for the more popular products.
