Thinking of picking up a Warren Spahn Auto (comes with a COA from Sports Source from Glenview, IL, which is no longer in business).

If authentic, what would this be worth?

Depending on condition of card of course!

Totally depends on the condition of the card and quality of the auto.

I'd rather have the card unautographed really.

It'd be worth more

Not necessarily...

For the most part, yes.

Especially with a cert from a company no longer in business.

There are collectors who like o/c vintage autos, but its a minority

depends on the condition of the card, Spahn is one of the most common sigs of all time (behind Feller, Musial, etc.).

Got this D356-1 a while back for $18

He's got some other older cards to look at, so I'm gonna go take a look tonight.

Honestly, probably not. If it was PSA certified I would pick it up for that price but not a random company like that. You can pick up Spahn autos for cheaper on ebay.

I picked up this for $25 and later sold it for the same price. Just to give an example.

I have 4 vintage spahn autos

all cards are decent shape with good centering and fuzzy corners and no major creases.

Here is what I paid
55T- $42 PSA/DNA
56T - $17.50 no authentication
60TAS - $23.75 ***
64T - $30 JSA

Just some useless info you may be able to use for something.

I know that collectors in the past thought that autographs "devalued" them.

That's just not the case anymore. Almost all autographed cards (particularly in mid-low grade condition) are going to be worth more than if they were not autographed. There are a lot of collectors that love vintage autographed cards.
