Is there any argument you can make to prove that he is not a HOFer?

no doubt a lock for the hof.

a huge fan of his and was very sad when he left the WBC

Ummm he's a Brave....(jk) great player one of the best switch hitters in the history of the game.

I think he's a lock for the H.O.F. My only question is, does he get in on the first ballot. I can't distance myself far enough being a Braves fan to give an honest answer. Seeing all he's done for his team, I'd of course think so, but since his HOF status was still debatable until recently, I'd guess not.

There will not be a link to Jim and steroids. He was a big ol cornfed boy when he came up. He thickened with age. I have never even heard his name come up with the subject of steroids.

never say never. there will always be a suspect a guy who hit 500 HR in the steroid era, except Griffey. And MAYBE Frank Thomas. Look at Thomas' 90 leaf card. Then look at his 93 leaf card. Big difference.
