Is Cliff Lee worth buying?

Cliff Lee is 102-61 with a career era of 3.85 at 31...Era is a little high, but his era hasn't been above 3.20 since 07.

was thinking about getting one of those, because I have a feeling the Yankees are going to go after him and they will go up and have upside. The last 02 auto sold for 110ish. Also they're pretty rare auto's only has auto's numbered to 50 and 100.

There will still be time for his prices to come down before he signs that deal. I am guessing, even though I and everyone else believes he'll be a Yankee, that there will be hella competition and the deal will take a while.


Don't buy now. Buy in December or January.

Sure, why not? He's always been a good pitcher, and his numbers really pop when he's on a good team. That attracts the punters, which is good for those who got in at the right price. As maybe the marquee FA pitcher this weekend, with nightly Sportscenter "Cliffwatch" updates or whatever ridiculous stuff they're going to do, it should do nothing but raise his hobby profile. Especially if the Rangers go all the way (to a WS loss to the Phillies).

nope, nobody seems to want to move one, so it isn't likely that'll ill get one.

Not many autographed rookie cards though. There is a Cliff Lee Super Collector that has a large portion of the already limited print run. The autographs are in short supply. But yes, he has a large variety of rookie cards in general. Some are serial numbered and some are not. It's good that there are options for buyers in all price ranges.
