With yesterdays game Pudge Rodriguez passed Pudge Fisk for games played as a catcher. Fisk had 376 HRs while Rodriguez has 301. Rodriguez has 13 Gold Gloves to Fisks 1. And both pretty close n All Star Game appearances.

It will all depend on the roids verdict. Without roids speculation he's first ballot easily.

The guy was a Juicer. Look at how much weight he magically lost after Canseco's first book.

I wouldn't be shocked if he's on "The List".

Steroids/PEDs would help keep someone ON the field in playing condition. If IRod did take them it may have enabled him to set the record for most games as a catcher.

Yes 1st ballot, steroids doesn't help you field and with 13 gold gloves at catcher its a no brainer..................

14 All-Star Appearances, 4th most Gold Gloves of any position in baseball history, most by a catcher. Those numbers alone would make it a lock, but he also has a career .300 BA, 7 Silver Sluggers, several career numbers in the top 100 of baseball and the reputation as one of the most feared players in modern day baseball.

But like every other baseball discussion let's just devolve this into baseless accusations and libel.

I am a BIGTIME Pudge fan! But he did do steriods, that cannot be denied! Don't deny the fact that he used, just appreciate the fact that he is a HOFer no matter what he did. Roids do not make a great player. When are the NFL, NBA, and NHL going to get heat for this stuff? 90% of NFL players are on something! I think most are using HGH. You don't get that big, that fast, that strong without help. You just don't. Here are players that are on something without a doubt!
NBA: Lebron, Igudala, Ben Wallace was, Rodman was.

NFL: Who's not on something?

We have to think like the people voting these people in. Everyone knows Pudge gets in first ballot from his career alone, but shouldn't Palmeiro and Mcgwire as well?

Tell us how you know Lebron James is on PEDs.

1) The whole first ballot thing is nonsense. The term should be stricken from the vocabulary.

2) Who gives a crap about a couple fringe hall of famers? A guy most people think backed into career milestones and another that could do one thing well and is known for setting one record that is already broken.

I can't wait for the day this ridiculousness ends.

Do you have a that same feeling when Bonds' name and HOF prospects are brought up?

What else can I say? I think he is a HOFer, but my opinion doesn't matter.

Thankfully since I've come back from hiatus I've yet to see Bond's name mentioned. Not being a prospector I don't read those threads as much, but a running joke about being a future HOF is a bit different than every Hall Of Famer thread immediatly going to "do you think he juiced??
