Good question sir. I would argue that all prospects are all hype. If they have never played at the MLB level then we are only speculating what they could be. Very good topic.

Don't try to "common sense" this one. He wont get it as made clear by his post above this one

LOL I sent you a PM...

Yes and as I explained I dont exchange phone numbers with men over the internet. I am not sure why since you signed up you have been obsessed with talking about rolling around with other dudes and exchanging phone numbers but cut it out

Honestly, Montero like most prospects who get the "cant miss" title has those who are sold on what he'll be and those who arent and then those who will say he's a bust because they have a fighters chance of being right. At the end, someone will get to say "I told you so" and some will say they are wrong and others will swear up and down they never said he would be a bust.
Exactly... I just looking for people to tell me what they think as things are not going so well for him right now... Some people might change their tune a bit... I curious to see what the consensus is now...

Me personally, I think he will play every day in AAA and be on the hot list each week.

Martin will be getting run on all day by Tampa (Upton) and Boston (Ellsbury, Crawford), he will be hitting .225-.250 and slugging nothing. Cervelli will be back soon and be a stable back up catcher.

Fans in NY will be begging for him to come up, but the Yanks won't as Martin/Cervelli is enough to get through 2011 with, unless one of them gets hurt.

If Cervelli gets hurt (or stays hurt) Montero comes up and doesn't do well in a part time role.

If Martin gets hurt, i think Montero comes up for good, and plays well assuming he gets some momentum in AAA first.

Either way, Montero is up by August to help give Martin/Cervelli a spell during a long season.

2012 he's the opening day Catcher at 22 years old.

That's my prediction.

Honestly, i dont care if he ever becomes a star since i'll have cashed in and bought some high end HOF stuff with the profits before anyone has the answer. I own 25 raw and gem chromes and my investment is well around a 1200 total. I'm waiting for the next price spike which i predict will be in the same realm as the money made off of heyward by those who bought very early...
