Is Moustakas hurt? he hasnt played for the last 2 games and i hope he plays either today or tomorrow when i go to Midland mainly to see him play.

The Royals are minimizing concerns regarding possible injuries Thursday night to two of their top prospects: third baseman Mike Moustakas and left-handed pitcher Mike Montgomery.

Both made early exits in Class AA Northwest Arkansas’ 8-5 loss at Frisco.

Moustakas departed because of a bruised knee from crashing into a wall while chasing after a foul pop-up.

Montgomery lasted only three innings after experiencing a sore elbow and showing diminished velocity.

“Both are fine,” said Scott Sharp, the club’s director of minor-league operations. “We were just being cautious.”
